On May 7, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received Shombi Sharp, Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, the sides touched upon the prospects of expanding current cooperation. Atom Janjughazyan underlined that the joint programs should be targeted, realistic and have tangible results in the economy. According to him, relevant sectoral studies should be carried out and programs with predictable behavior should be implemented.
Shombi Sharp attached importance to the role of the Ministry of Finance in this process and informed that the UN Office in Armenia will be replenished with the appropriate specialists for more effective and professional activity. He noted that soon the process of development of cooperation framework for the upcoming years - the UN Development Assistance Framework - will be launched, and bilateral meetings and discussions at the expert level will contribute to the preparation of the program on mutually beneficial terms.
