On September 7, at the Sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, Atom Janjughazyan presented summary data of the budget for 2018 for the first semester. According to them, the real GDP growth was 8.3%, with a relatively large contribution by the services sector.

The average inflation in the first half of the year was 2.4%, the foreign trade turnover – AMD 3 billion 476 million, or 29% more than in the first six months of 2017.

 “In the first half year the average salary was AMD 168 thousand. The average salary in the state sector was about AMD 141 000, and in the private sector – AMD 186 000. The disruption continued between the public and the private sectors”, - said Janjughazyan.

In the first 6 months of 2018, the revenues index was around AMD 628 billion, and the adjusted expenditure was 738 billion. As a result, the adjusted deficit level was AMD 110.6 billion. The actual value of revenues amounted to AMD 606.5 billion, expenditures – AMD 610.3 billion, and deficit – AMD 3.9 billion.

 “According to the results of the first half of this year, public debt amounted to USD 6 billion 704 million, of which the Government debt was AMD 6 billion 134 million and the rest was the debt of the Central Bank. The external debt of the Government debt amounted to about AMD 4 billion 879 million and the rest is the internal debt”, - noted Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan.
