On October 4, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan held a press conference on the Draft State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2019.
According to Finance Minister, an innovation in the draft budget is the application of new fiscal rules defined by the legislation, which will result in stabilazation of Government debt.
The next innovation is budgeting in program format. With the introduction of program budgeting, key focus should be on the results and not on the process. The 2019 draft budget has already been presented in program format.
According to the RA Draft State Budget for 2019, the real growth of 4.9 percent is predicted for the next year.
Atom Janjughazyan also underlined that the 2019 budget cannot start a new process and it is logical that the obligations defined by the legislation have found their reflection in the law on budget.
