On July 11, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received Seyyed Kazem Sajjad, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting issues related to the development of the Armenian-Iranian trade turnover, in particular, the creation of mutually beneficial conditions for transit cargo transportation were discussed.
Atom Janjughazyan noted that the Armenian side is ready to invest all necessary efforts for the development of trade and economic relations, as well as to develop collaboration in other areas.
Seyyed Kazem Sajjad emphasized that Armenian-Iranian economic relations have always been transparent, which, in its turn, contributed to the continuity and expansion of cooperation.
The parties also discussed issues related to the improvement of tax policy and administration, the free economic zone "Meghri", the Iran-EAEU Free Trade Agreement and a number of other issues.
