On July 6, the RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan received the delegation led by Syurkani Ishak Kasim, member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed a number of issues on the cooperation agenda related to budget support, policy-based and program loans provided to Armenia by the Bank, as well as the audit system issues, public-private partnership, efficient public finance management. They also touched upon the assessments made by rating agencies and financial institutions, particularly the IMF macroeconomic assessment.
Atom Janjughazyan underlined that Armenia has a good history of cooperation with the ADB and it will develop in new directions in the future.
The representative of the Asian Development Bank expressed readiness to share the views of the Board of Directors and provide information on possible changes in the Bank's policy. He also noted that consultations and active communication contribute to the effectiveness of joint work. In this context, close cooperation with the Permanent Mission of the ADB to Armenia was highlighted.
At the end of the meeting the parties touched upon the schedule of upcoming actions and other technical and procedural issues as well.
