Debates on the RA Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2019” Continue

On November 6, budgetary debates continued at the joint sittings of the NA Standing Committees on European Integration and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, as well as on Defense and Security and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the RA National Assembly.

Presenting the RA Draft Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia for 2019”, Acting Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan noted that it is envisaged to receive a grant of EUR 16 million as a budgetary assistance from the EU for implementation of some programmes directed to the sphere of European integration in the upcoming year.

Atom Janjughazyan also presented the revenues and expenditures for emergency, police and national security services in the 2019 state budget. According to him, the forecasted budget for the Ministry of Emergency Situations in 2019 is about AMD 12.6 billion.

The police expenditures are AMD 61.9 billion, which includes the turnover of extra-budgetary accounts, while the forecasted budget of the National Security Service amounts to AMD 32.7 billion.

Budget discussions on the Ministry of Defense and State Reserves were held behind closed doors.
