On November 14-16, the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan participated in the conference held in the context of the 14th replenishment of the Asian Development Fund in New Delhi. During the visit, Eduard Hakobyan also met with Ajay Seth, Deputy Secretary for Economic Affairs of the Finance Minister of India.
During the meeting, they discussed practical and prospective interdepartmental cooperation, as well as the toolkit of financial and credit initiatives within the bilateral agenda.
The Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia presented to the interlocutor the current economic developments in the Republic of Armenia, their future trends, and the efforts of the Government of Armenia to address various challenges. This includes long-term and medium-term programs aimed at meeting the primary needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
During the meeting, attended by the RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of India Vahagn Afyan, various important issues related to the cooperation between the two countries were discussed. This includes the promotion of investments and the implementation of joint economic projects.
An agreement was reached to ensure the continuity of close contacts, with the aim of further expanding joint cooperation and demonstrating the necessary consistency for the implementation of planned programs.
