The RA Deputy Minister of Finance, Eduard Hakobyan, took part in a discussion focused on the outcomes of the Asian Development Bank's report titled "Planning Fiscal Risks of Climate Adaptation in Armenia.
The report emphasizes both the progress made by Armenia and the needs it has in the areas of adaptation investments and fiscal planning. These efforts are directed toward increasing potential financial resources to enhance the country's adaptation to climate change.
The results of the report were presented to donor partners and government officials by the Asian Development Bank, led by the Bank's President.
At the panel discussions, Deputy Minister Eduard Hakobyan referred to the programs related to risk management in the context of climate change in the processes of drawing up budget and medium-term expenditure plans.
Summarizing the discussions of the event, E. Hakobyan noted that the RA Ministry of Finance intends to strengthen cooperation with other branch ministries in order to effectively integrate the programs to face the challenges related to climate change into the fiscal and economic planning.
