Hayk Yazhubyan


Hayk Yaghubyan (1889-1943) studied at Yuryev University. In 1921-1929, he was the Deputy People’s Commissar of Education and the Chairman of the General Department of Political Education. In 1930-1931, he was the authorized representative of the People's Commissariat for Posts and Telegraphs of the USSR. In 1931-1935, Yaghubyan was the People's Commissar of Communal Economy of the USSR. From May 1935 to September 1937, he was the ASSR People’s Commissar of Finance. In 1937, he was arrested and died in detention.
