On March 1, within the framework of the International Civil Defense Day, a seminar on Civil Defence Issues, its Role and Significance in the Context of National Defence Measures took place at the RA Ministry of Finance. The seminar was conducted by the Mobilization Preparation and Civil Defence Division of the Staff of the Ministry of Finance.
The objective of the seminar was to inform the employees of the RA Ministry of Finance about the principles, history, and measures system of civil defence, as well as to check their preparedness and improve practical skills.
The participants of the event were presented the main goals and organization process of civil defence stressing the principles of good governance of defence mechanisms in relevant situations, as well as the personal composition of the RA Finance Ministry’s civil defence staff and its functions.
At all the stages of its history, the activity of civil defence as a component of national security is considered to be a requirement of vital importance for the civil society, the purpose of which is to increase the efficiency of the protection of the population, material and cultural values and to ensure the high level of preparedness of the civil defence system.
The head of the RA civil defence is the RA Prime Minister. The deputy head of the RA civil defence is the RA Minister of Emergency Situations. The RA ministers, regional governors, heads of communities and organizations are the chiefs of civil defence of relevant ministries, regions, communities and organizations.
