The 2023 report of the Ministry of Finance was presented to the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Ministry of Finance to discuss the 2023 activity report. Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Tigran Khachatryan, Head of the Prime Minister's Office Arayik Harutyunyan, Head of the RA State Control Service Romanos Petrosyan, officials from the Prime Minister's Office, and the leadership staff of the Ministry of Finance participated in the discussion.

At the beginning of the discussion, the Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Finance of the RA is initiating the summaries of the works in 2023.

Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan, the Deputies of the Ministry of Finance, and the Secretary General made reports.

Referring to the implemented programs, it was noted that the role of scenario analysis in macroeconomic forecasts has been increased. In the conditions of the current turbulence, alternative macroeconomic and fiscal frameworks were developed. Based on these frameworks, budget reserves were formed, and the necessary path to ensure the economic growth target was assessed. This includes evaluating the required investment and export volumes, as well as outlining key directions for structural reforms such as public administration reforms, digitalization, and the public investment management system. The forecasting system for tax revenues was improved, incorporating modern models, enabling the publication of forecasts for major taxes in the 2024 budget message.
