The RA Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan received the French delegation, which included French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decotigny, Regional Director of the French Development Agency in the South Caucasus (FDA) Fanny Delpe, as well as other officials.
The Minister of Finance referred to the effective cooperation of the previous year in the framework of the budget support between the FDA and the Ministry of Finance and emphasized the ongoing work to ensure the continuity of the project.
The parties also discussed the perspectives of a number of cooperative issues, particularly in the fields of reservoir construction, irrigation, energy and agriculture. Reference was also made to issues of assistance in solving the problems of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh. In his speech, Ambassador Decotigny attached special importance to the Vedi Reservoir project, which is one of the bright examples of effective cooperation between the parties.
Minister Hovhannisyan noted that the Armenian side is interested in studying the French experience of irrigation and land resources management, which can be another major direction of cooperation between the parties.
At the meeting, both parties highly appreciated the level of existing partnership relations and emphasized that, in the current conditions, it provides a good basis for deepening cooperation in all directions.
