Tigran Khachatryan and Sergei Kopyrkin discussed issues related to Armenian-Russian economic cooperation

On October 5, the RA Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan received H.E. Mr. Sergei Kopyrkin, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia.

Welcoming the Ambassador, Tigran Khachatryan presented the RA Government Program for 2021-2026, as well as the Strategy for public finance management system reform. In his speech, the Minister highlighted the close cooperation established with the Russian Federation, as well as the development of relations in all directions.

Ambassador Kopyrkin congratulated the Minister on his appointment and expressed the readiness of the Russian side to expand cooperation in all spheres, based on the traditions of 30 years of partnership.

The parties discussed the perspectives of development of Armenian-Russian relations, touching upon the issues of development of economy, energy, infrastructure, new technologies and entrepreneurship.

Reference was made to the activity of the “South Caucasus Railway”, emphasizing its importance in the development of Armenia's economy, as well as appreciating the fact that the renewal of the railway capacity opens new opportunities for the chain development of socio-economic and related sectors.
