Vasak Poghosyan (1881-1938) worked in different cities of Siberia before coming to Armenia. From December 1923 to March 1929, he was the ASSR People's Commissar of Finance. He was a member of Transcaucasian Finance People’s Commissariat Collegium. In 1930, Poghosyan was a member of the Presidency of Transcaucasian State Planning Committee. In 1938, he was shot dead.
